Upper endoscopy: Although it is not normal to have pain, irritation, or difficulty swallowing after an upper endoscopy, it is not likely that you suffered a perforation, since you would likely be very ill by 12 days out if you had suffered a perforation. Regardless, if you are having these symptoms now, you should contact the doctor who performed your procedure. Good luck.
