What is partial elementary seizures?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antiquated term: We now use the term SIMPLE partial seizures. This is a type of seizure affecting a small area of the brain, is on 1 side only (no spread) & can involve funny feelings, sensations, or motor movements. However, MENTAL AWARENESS of the patient isn't lost. Contrast this to COMPLEX partial seizures where awareness of the environment is lost. Questions? www.healthtap.com/drsaghafi Key Code: PDXFNR
