I have had a burning sensation on my face and scalp for about 3 months started when i went on a very strict elimination diet. i'm not on diet now.

Too vague: What in the world is a "strict elimination diet"???? What was the reason? I wonder if you have a skin problem or something else instead. You need to relate all soaps, creams, treatments, meds, etc, including any vitamins. A dermatologist MIGHT help you if all relevant details are revealed.
