Maybe not: A woman who is taking her birth control pills properly, is very unlikely to be pregnant. If not regularly on birth control pills, the emergency contraception dose of the pills does work most of the time but not all of the time (if unlucky, or if taking the pills too far out after sex, one can still get pregnant). Thus, always do a home pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex, if EC pills were needed.
