Not sure what ?: not sure what you saw with your mirror, but I can tell you that menstrual blood itself can be especially irritating. That may explain your itching, or you may have another issue like a yeast infection. The vaginal pH changes during your period so things like yeast can proliferate. If this persists, you will need a pelvic exam to find out the cause. Best wishes to you!
