Be a twin yourself: If a woman is a fraternal twin, or if a woman's mother is a fraternal twin, then the woman has an increased chance of having fraternal twin babies. However, the normal situation for modern humans is to have one baby at a time. Having twins can cause more pregnancy complications. It's better to have 2 healthy babies back to back, rather than risk a damaged twin baby. Be careful what one wishes for.
