BTB: Sounds like you have break through bleeding, which is not your period and can happen the cycle pack or two (especially if on a low dose pill). Another possibility is that you didn't start your pill correctly. Either way, to be safe check a pregnancy test and if it continues into pack number 2 schedule a consult with your physician.
