Need clarification..: .. a lot of it! Rapid darkening of the skin, of course, is a sign of impending death..the loss of blood supply to the skin. Is it really black? Or just darkening, i.e. hyper pigmentation? This can result from an overproduction of melanin. Melasma is the term given to increased skin pigmentation occurring on sun-exposed surfaces of darkly complected individuals. Or hormonal change or sun exposure!
