HSV infections: The initial infection with a herpes virus can potentially be accompanied by fever and body aches, similar to the flu. Recurrences of hsv usually don't have symptoms other than at the place of the rash. However, body aches can occur with other common conditions like the flu. A blood test can be done in a few weeks to see if you have antibodies to hsv 2.
