A member asked:

Symptoms going on for 3-4 years: pelvic pains, irregular, prolonged, heavy periods with bloodclots. weight gain. only 3-4 per year. never seen a gyno?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: When abnormal symptoms happen to a teen or young adult, one can see her pediatrician (if the pediatrician is willing to see patients through college-age), or she can see her family-medicine or adult-medicine doctor. The patient should write down all her symptoms, how often they happen, what makes them worse, and what makes them better, and take the information to the doctor. 3-4 years is to long!
