Small adenoma can do: Pituitary adenomas can cause hormonal access like you are concerned about. They can start producing symptoms when they are quite small like the size of a beebe (5 mm to 10 mm). When left untreated they can grow up to 1-3 cm before there are local pressure symptoms like vision problems.
