Depends on what: It is normal to use mild pain relievers such as Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Motrin following child birth. In some cases narcotics might be prescribed. Please talk to your provider on impacts these drugs might have on breast feeding as some drugs can be excreted in breast milk (which is why I tend to lean towards non-narcotic options).
