I have a metacarpal fracture of the thumb. i currently have two pins. how soon can the pins be removed? what's the minimum amount required? i'm hoping 3 weeks!

4-6 weeks: it take at least 4-6 weeks for a fracture like this to heal.. It is to your orthopedic surgeon that place the pins to decide when to take them out. Do not Rush thing it is not worth it Let the healing take place.

18 days since cast/brace removed for 1st metacarpal fracture thumb. 4 therapy sessions later wrist is still immobile & thumb still swollen won't bend.
