If i've been taking xanax (alprazolam) for awhile and 33weeks pregnant will my family doctor prescribe them to me i have very bad anxiety! and withdrawals are bad?

Psychiatrist: Xanax (alprazolam) has a pregnancy category of D. I'd suggest talking all of the risks over with your OB/GYN and a psychiatrist. Xanax (alprazolam) is not recommended during pregnancy because it enters the breast milk and has been demonstrated to increase the risk of congenital abnormalities.
