Quite rare: If truly allergic you could develop red, itchy skin in the area of the sutures, though this would more commonly be related to foreign body reaction(a non allergic but inflammatory response). You could develop hives too(this would be seen with a foreign body reaction). If an allergy is truly suspected then patch testing is reasonable to avoid issues in the future.
