Undescended Testicle: This is often corrected with surgery. It is absolutely necessary to get them into the scrotum . Your child's doctor may have a plan that they would have discussed with you about waiting versus when to get this surgery done. No one here online can replace the doctor on the ground helping your family.

Undescended testicle: Depends on the age of the child 0-6months do nothing, observe for spontanoub descent at 6 months if both are still undescended and palpable you may try HCG hormone shots , (the dose is based on the weight ). There is 25-30% chance of response. Alternatively bilateral orchidopexy (surgery) is reccomended, the testicles should be in the scrotal sac by one year of age.

Surgery Needed...: True undescended testicles (udt) should be treated surgically once an infant reaches 6 months of age. At this age testicles will not descend (even with bhcg) and evidence shows testicular function begins to be negatively affected. No further testing is needed if both (or either) testicle can be felt. All udts must be treated to preserve testicular function and reduce risk of testes cancer.
