A member asked:

I stabbed my wrist and it hurts to move my fingers to much, and the area around the wound is slightly numb. what is going on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs checking: "stab" implies a penetrating wound and depending on how sharp the instrument was I would be concerned about damage to the tendons that move the fingers. This needs to be seen urgently - please go to your local Urgent Do or Emergency room. Lack of attention IF tendons are involved can lead to more critical problems and possible infection/permanent damage to wrist if ignored at this stage. Good luck
