Triptans: For rare migraines, the best thing that has happened in medicine is the discovery of triptans( imitrex, relpax, (eletriptan) maxalt, etc.) for more than 3-4 headaches per month, you should be on a medication regimen that is designed to prevent the migraines. This is also protective against migraine related strokes and small vessel disease i recommend that you see a neurologist.
