I've been taking 60 mg/day hydrocodone for 10 yrs, and 40 mg/day for 6 yrs for pain. are 1 weeks meds really enough to quit? doesn't feel like it. it's been 2 weeks and i'm now getting scared.

Opiate withdrawal: I am very proud of you for starting this journey to detox and to sober up from a very long history of pain medication use. It is scary. Your brain may fight you every step of the way. But, getting off of these medications and learning to live drug free may bring you untold joy and peace. If you do well with others you may want to check out the local programs to find others in your same situation.

Depends: If it has been 2 weeks without meds you are doing awesome. Withdrawal would have taken place 48 hours or so after last narcotic. Keep up the good work.
