Rarely: The wart virus is with you for life, but when they are clinically gone, your immune system keeps them in check and they are not normally communicable. It is not unusual for stray warts to reappear occasionally over a few years and then be gone. To reduce communicability, it is also best to be sure no virus remains on the cervix or vagina with colposcopy or pap smears. They can be hard to detect.
