A member asked:

Can diarrhea be risky for a pregnant woman who has placenta calcification and who is due soon?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: First, if you have constipation you can use immodium safely to prevent/treat the diarrhea. The main risk other than dehydration is contractions. Calcification means early aging of the placenta. Very common in smokers, high blood pressure and advanced maternal age. I would at least do kick counts and if less than 6 movements the hour after eating, call your OB to get an NST even if after hours
