Coronary Calcium: The Agatston score is a measure of the amount of calcification in the wall of the coronary arteries, as measured by computed tomography (CAT scan). In general, it up with the development of coronary artery disease, and also goes up with age. Taken with other factors it can predict the risk of a coronary event and might lead to a decision to treat with medicine or even a procedure.
