IF an infection were to occur, you would begin to notice redness or your skin, warmth, selling, and tenderness usually within 48 hours of the puncture. If you do not recall when you last has a Tetanus shot/booster, you should get one of these. Tetanus shot is abbreviated as either Td or Tdap
