Several great option: 1. Most women do not get mood swings on low dose daily OCPs. Combined hormonal contraceptives also come in a monthly vaginal ring and weekly patch. 2. Progestin only contraceptives come in a daily pill, quarterly injection, or an implant that lasts up to 3 yrs. 3. The progestin IUDs act locally with little systemic symptoms, and lasts 3-5+yrs 4. The copper IUD has no hormones and lass 10+yrs.
