May be normal: I am assume you are referring to menstrual bleeding. It can be normal to pass some blood clots during your period, and bleeding can last up to a week. If heavy bleeding continues past a week or if the blood clots are consistently large (more than about an inch in diameter), you should see your doctor so that he or she can gather more information.
