Yes: Nyquil contains multiple ingredient in each capsule including one called Doxylamine which is an anti-histamine type medication (similar class as Benadryl). It is a first generation anti-histamine and therefore crosses the blood brain barrier and is known to cause sedation and "brain fog" after taking it and even after waking up in the morning.
