There isn't one: cancers occur from quite a lot of different cells. The trick is to get rid of the cancer and not the normal cells and each cancer cell has different specific treatments. These range in susceptibility due to faster growth (chemotherapy and radiation),, specific growth hormone use (breast cancer), specific protein makers (lymphoma) and others I am applying for grants for.
