Difficult to say: The menstrual blood may have a strong odor due to it being retained in your uterus for an extended period of time. It is probably not any reason for concern. If you have had unprotected sex, then a sexually transmitted disease is possible, and you should be checked for that. Otherwise, don't worry, just wait and see what happens with your next period.
