May not be a problem: Some people feel their heart beat, even when it's beating normally, like in a quiet environment. If there are episodic irregular beats, for whatever reason, those sensations can be magnified. Stress or fear, anxiety, caffeine can be benign causes, but medications (including over the counter) and diseases can create "flutters". Best to talk to your doctor for an ecg, ?Holter, ?Event monitor.
