Most likely not: In a young woman, anemia is most often from menstrual bleeding which would be corrected with medication to regulate menstruation and iron replacement (a pill, not an injection). In some situations such as vitamin deficiency or kidney disfunction, injectable medications help. Hopefully, your doc is already on the road to correcting this which is important.
