It depends.: It would really depend on what kind of headache you suffer under. A simple tension headache I would start with some tylenol (acetaminophen), unless you have any kind of liver disease. Anything such as migraines or cluster headaches may need further evaluation for medications. I would get evaluated by your doc.

Headache: Headache from various causes, you can try with acetaminophen first if no relief, advil, aleve, (naproxen) ibuprofen would be the next in order and exedrin migraine next, if no relief consult your doctor
