Certainly: In some people, digesting the sugars or the alcohol in cider can be difficult and could cause cramping abdominal pain. If this is a new problem, you should probably stop drinking cider for now and bring it up with your doctor, especially if it happens with other foods also. If it's only cider, consider another brand or a different beverage altogether. Good luck.
