Need more info: There are several reasons for you to have this compliant ranging from infection, neurological problem or even orthopedic problem in the finger. I would suggest that you make an appointment with your family physician to let him/her examine you to diagnose the cause of your complaint.

More likely than: not you have (perhaps unknowingly) bruised the tiny digital nerves (eg: by grasping something with too much force) They will take some time to heal but they will! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Numbness tingling: Neck issues, inflammatory arthritis, metabolic or endocrime deficiencs can all do this as well as the routine perpheral nerve compressive neuropathies such as carpal tunnel or even C7 cervical nerve root. Speak to your doctor
