Re-eval needed.: Viral infections can cause a cough, fevers, chills, achiness. The issue is the time frame. Viral infections generally last three to five days, so if your symptoms in sum have lasted longer than that you need to be seen again to make sure you don't in fact have a bacterial infection requiring antibiotics.
