A member asked:

Is oxycontin actually more addictive and deadly than heroin and cocaine combined?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: Abuse of any of the drugs can be deadly, but cocaine is not an opioid, but rather a sympathomimetic amine which can provoke heart attacks and stokes, killing in that fashion. Heroin can cause apnea, but so can any other narcotic in sufficient dosage. All are clearly addictive.
