How long does green tea stay in your system and will it give a positive reading in a urine sample?

About 8 hours, no: Most of the chemicals in green tea are excreted within 8 hours, though trace amounts might persist up to 24 hours. I don't know why anyone would be testing for green tea in a urine sample as it is not considered a drug of abuse. If you were tested for caffeine it might show up but generally urine tests don't check caffeine. See http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/green-tea re: benefits.
