i thought i was pregnant in june, however i had my period, and a negative pregnancy test. then in july it was 1 week early. now in august my cycle is 5 days late... i go to the doctor and they now want to give me a sonogram. i am scared. is there a reason

No need to be scared: You may do a home pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. A sonogram is not painful nor intrusive and may reveal any structural issues with your organs.

Probably OK: He probably figures once the cyst goes away you will bleed. Does not want to give you Provera (medroxyprogesterone) if you could be Pregnant.
