Hi doc! i've had tonsillitis for 3/4 days now. started antibiotics yesterday. how long will these take to work? and how long does tonsillitis last?

Depends.: Tonsillitis is often not bacterial. When it is bacterial it responds in a few days for certain. When it is viral it may not get better for 4-5 days. Maybe your doc did a culture or rapid strep test?
