Not birth control: There are hormonal treatments which will shrink endometriosis. Lupron (leuprolide) is an example. Birth control pills may prevent or slow further endometriosis development but are not likely to shrink that which is already present. I am curious why you feel afraid of birth control pills? If so discuss other options with your obgyn
