Dont understand ?: What is a "high" prescription. Doctors who have waivers to legally prescribe buprenorphine take an 8 hour course and are supposed to be trained in how to do it correctly. If your doctor did not explain this fully, and did not titrate you to the correct dose, he is not treating you properly. Get a second opinion. Everyone's dose is individualized, and may range from 2 mg to 24 mg per day.
