Lose by dieting: Unless you have an extremely accurate scale (and most bathroom scales are not) the difference is not significant. Weight gain in pregnancy, if you discount the weight of the baby and associated structures is due to an increase in adipose tissue. The only way to lose it is the same as for everybody, limit your food intake and exercise.
