Theoretically: It is theoretically possible to cause what is called a counter-coo concussion it this way, but would be extremely difficult.

Yes, but it's not...: ...likely. Most of the time, if you aren't properly trained and conditioned in head whipping, the worst that happens is your equilibrium gets seriously messed up, making you dizzy, nauseated & off balance. You COULD get a concussion after head whipping if you fall and knock your head on something hard. I don't recommend head whipping to unsupervised, unskilled casual dance enthusiasts.
