No: This is not normal, but it is common for many women to have irregular menstruation. I recommend seeing a Primary Care doctor or a Women's Health doctor to discuss this. It puts you at risk for anemia (low blood levels from excess menstruation) and sometimes can be associated with risk for diabetes or obesity later in life, depending on the cause.
