Yes and yes : Prolonged erection can cause post erection pain in penis..happens most of time when no sex happens. It has been called the "blue balls". But if you ejaculate some pain can continue but with no consequence . varicocele is a collection of veins most always on the left and for the most part does not bother the other side. It may hang down more and get a little more banged up with vigorous sex.
