There are: a number of possibilities most of which are VIRAL and the Summer months have a number of ECHO and COXSACKIE viruses which have a rash and GI component!!! You can treat "symptomatically' (Fluids and non-spicy foods) but "check in" with your child's Pediatrician who will know "what's going around" in your community! Hope this helps and good luck! Dr Z
