Maybe a Little: Your teeth might move slightly but your retainers will correct that. The important thing is to wear your retainers all the time. If you start leaving them off your teeth will move and all your hard work will be lost. Good Luck.

Minimal movement: There may be slight movement of your teeth immediately after your braces are removed, but the change would be minimal. When you get your retainer it will feel tight when you first put it in and it gently guides your teeth back to where they were when the impression was taken. Within an hour or so it will be very comfortable and will hold your teeth in position during the stabilization phase.

You'll be fine: It's pretty standard for there to be a gap of one or two weeks for a final retainers. I don't think it shouldn't be a problem because the movement is minimal if at all.

Not to worry: Any shifting will be minimal and the retainers will realign them in no time. This is very normal. Enjoy your straightened teeth and be faithful with the retainers if you want them to stay that way. Good Luck.
