Reaction?: Pseudo ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate) is a central nervous system stimulant. Propranolol is a beta blocker which blocks the effects of those stimulants. In general, it is not a good idea to take two medicines with opposing effects, one going one way and another gong the opposite way.
