Check TFTs: If you are in regular sinus rhythm, I would start by checking an Echocardiogram, thyroid blood work, and a CBC and go from there. Also check your temperature with a good thermometer.

P.O.T.S.: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Could take a Beta Blocker, but the underlying cause is damaged Vagas nerve from underlying cellular Insulin Resistance. Do you get Hypoglycemic if you don't eat for several hours? If so, eat frequent, small, low Glycemic Index foods. Other options would include treating the I.R. with medications, like Metformin, Actos or Januvia (sitagliptin).

Symptoms: A 'cardiac nurse' should understand there are many possibilities for what you describe ranging from anxiety through anemia, endocrine and cardiac disorders to lots of others. See a doctor you trust and get checked out.
