What causes cardiac arrythmias?

Many things: Cardiac arrythmia or dysrhythmias are generic catch all phrases for all sorts of disturbances in electrical heart conduction. Many are benign but could be symptomatic whereas others are much more serious. If its a question in your mind get evaluated by your physician.

Multiple: Causes include ischemic heart disease, heart attacks,problems with conduction system, a dilated heart, infections, and drugs to name a few. Treatment depends on the type of rhythm and the rate and symptoms.
