Well yes, but...: Finding that your colon is inflamed by capsule endoscopy does not MAKE a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. The distribution of colitis, biopsy findings, IBD markers, as well as ruling out infection & ischemia are all important parts of the diagnosis. If you have UC you will likely need repeated colonoscopy surveillance with histology. Get a GI doctor who hears & can address your expressed concerns.
